LOCALS HELPING LOCALS!

This year our Sea Girt Community Appeal is shifting focus to support local, Monmouth County and New Jersey based 501-3(c) nonprofit organizations that will truly feel the impact of the money we raise for them. This is our mission. We want to continue, as your community organization to make a difference in the lives of others, as we have done for many years in the past. We ask for your help in doing that by participating in this year’s Community Appeal. 

Why, you may ask, donate your dollars through SGCA? This is an opportunity for newer residents to join with those who have been living here longer to boost our community spirit of giving back.  You will be able to see the significant effects of your contributions being used locally. Most of these groups have limited ability to fundraise for themselves. Smaller nonprofits now will be able to accomplish great things with your donation and fulfill their missions. All donations are distributed to the charities that you select except for minimal administrative costs (envelopes, postage).

As the stewards of your philanthropy, we have carefully researched the charities listed on your return envelope for consideration when making your gift. Based on our review, we have identified these as charitable organizations that effectively impact needs, perform well financially, and provide high levels of accountability and transparency. You may, however, write in a charity of your choice marked “other” and we will make sure they receive your generosity.

We hope we can count on your participation in the 2025-2026 fund drive as we carry on this worthy Sea Girt tradition of 62 years.

You may place your tax-deductible contribution in the enclosed envelope.  A contribution of $250 or more will be acknowledged in compliance with the IRS Code.  We are eligible to receive matching gifts. Please enclose the signed charity selections with your check and we will handle the rest.  For additional information, see our  website (www.seagirtcommunityappeal.org).
